April 6th Bottles for the River

A hard working crew of volunteers gathered besides Lucky's Liquor Store to sort refundable drink containers and raise money for stewardship of the Nanaimo River watershed.

Once again, NALT has been approved for Thrifty’s Smile Card Community Fundraising Program. The new timeline for the project is from May 6^th, 2012 to May 4^th, 2013.

July Bottle for the River results

In support of Nanaimo River stewardship activities.

Thanks to the efforts of NALT volunteers and those supporters donated their refundables (and cash), NALT received just over $1,000 for Saturday’s Bottles for the River. While bottle drop-off revenues have been in decline for the past couple years, this still represents a good return for a day’s work.

Thank you all for your good work done well.

Thanks as well to Thrifty Foods (Brooks Landing) and Starbucks Coffee (Port Place Mall) for the food and coffee to energize and sustain our volunteers.
